DEVECO 410-NF
Deveco 410-NF is a single-dip trivalent liquid chromate product that provides a clear blue bright chromate conversion coating on electroplated zinc and delivers up to 48 hrs protection to white corrosion in salt fog testing when operated per recommended conditions. This chromate does not contain any fluorides.
Deveco 410-NF can be used on barrel and rack zinc plating lines. It is equally effective on all electroplated zincs ranging from alkaline non-cyanide to acid chloride processes in both barrel or rack operations. Deveco 410-NF possesses high tolerance to impurities and yellowing. Fewer problems are encountered with zinc stripping from low current densities due to its low zinc removal properties.
Deveco 410-NF is economical due to its effectiveness at low concentrations and long life. Additions can easily be determined by visual inspection of the chromated parts.

ANALYSIS:
1. Add a 100 mls sample of the chromating solution into a flask.
2. Add 1 to 2 mls of phenolphthalein.
3. Titrate with 1.0 N Sodium Hydroxide solution to a pink end-point.
NOTE: The sample will become cloudy before the endpoint is reached.
Calculation: Mls 1.0 N Sodium Hydroxide x 0.27 = % Deveco 410-NF.
CAUTION:
This product contains chromates and is acid in nature. Contact of salts or solution with skin or eyes should be avoided. In case of contact, flush contaminated area with a large amount of water. When handling this product, protective clothing, i.e. rubber apron, gloves, boots, and goggles should be worn.
EQUIPMENT:
Deveco 410-NF solutions require polyethylene, stainless steel, or koroseal lined tanks.
