DEVECO POST DIP 980

Deveco Post Dip 980 is a clear liquid concentrate sealer for zinc-plated parts. The concentrated Deveco Post Dip 980 is diluted with water and applied by dip coating and drying. The product is used to provide corrosion protection on zinc plate. Salt spray resistance is extended up to 100 - 200 hours when using B117 neutral salt spray to white rust.

MAKE-UP AND CONTROL:

1.       Deveco Post Dip 980            4 – 10 % by volume. (80°-120° F), 15 – 30 seconds.

It is important that zinc plated parts to be seal coated with Deveco Post Dip 980 are rinsed thoroughly prior to dipping. Overnight dry-out may be required for some color chromated work to avoid color loss when dipping.

During operation the Post Dip 980 solution will decrease in volume due to drag-out and evaporation. The analysis procedure can be used to establish a routine addition schedule for each application.
