MAKE-UP AND CONTROL:
Deveco 6059-T (Soak & Electroclean)
Make-up: 8 - 12 oz/gal
Temp: 140 - 212°F
Time: 30 sec - 5 minutes
Tank: Steel
Voltage 6 to 10 volts (Anodic)
TEST KIT ANALYSIS PROCEDURE:
Use the syringe to transfer 1 cc of the sample to a clear glass bottle.
Add about 10 mls of water and 1 or 2 drops of phenolphthalein indicator to the sample.
While “swirling” the solution, add 1.0N hydrochloric acid (HCl) dropwise until the solution turns clear. Make note of the number of drops used.
Calculation: Oz/gal Deveco 6059-T = 0.25 times the # of drops 1.0 N HCl
ANALYSIS PROCEDURE BY TITRATION:
Add 10 ml sample of solution to an Erlenmeyer flask.
Add 50 mls deionized or distilled water
Add 3 - 4 drops of methyl orange indicator.
Titrate with 1.0N Hydrochloric Acid. End pt: Yellow à Orange/Red.
Calculation: Oz/gal 6059-T = 0.63 times mls 1.0 N HCl
