DEV-KLEEN 202

Dev-Kleen 202 is an alkaline soak cleaner developed to remove solid dirt, soil, oil, buffing, stamping compounds and grease from metals prior to phosphating, plating and acid dipping.

OPERATING CONDITIONS:

Concentration:                                    4 to 8 oz./gal.

Temperature:                          160.to 190 ^oF.

Immersion Time:                     1 to 5 minutes

CONTROL:

Ø Take a 10 ml. sample of Dev-Kleen 202 solution in a 250 ml. beaker.

Ø Add 100 mls. DI water and 3-4 drops of phenolphthalein indicator.

Ø Titrate with 1.0 N HCl to a colorless endpoint.

Calculations: Mls 1.0 N HCl X .833 = oz/gal Dev-Kleen 202

WARNING:

This product is extremely caustic.  Gloves and goggles should always be used when handling this product.  In case of contact with skin or eyes, flush immediately with cold water and call a physician.
