
Dev-Seal Armor is a liquid concentrated sealer incorporating nano-particles for superior corrosion protection on zinc-plated parts. It was developed specifically to be used in conjunction with Deveco Fusion Black and Tri-Black coatings to produce glossy black coating. It is diluted with water and applied by dip coating and drying.
A 35% Dev-Seal Armor solution will extend salt spray resistance at least 168 - 200 hours to white rust when testing per ASTM B-117 neutral salt spray test. (Evaluate the test parts while wet to distinguish zinc’s white corrosion product from a whitish blush which may be present from the sealer).

Parts to be sealed with Dev-Seal Armor are to be rinsed thoroughly prior to dipping.
Drying of the Deveco Fusion or Tri-Black coating prior to dipping in Dev-Seal Armor will maximize the corrosion protection of the finish. (Over-drying may reduce adhesion of the seal).
Part temperature during drying should not exceed 160 oF. Over-drying may dehydrate the seal, reducing adhesion and corrosion resistance
ANALYSIS:
· Add 10 mls of the Dev-Seal Armor solution into a 250 ml. Erlenmeyer flask.
· Add approximately 100 mls DI or RO Water
· Add 2 to 3 drops of phenolphthalein indicator solution.
· Titrate with 1.0 N Hydrochloric Acid; End pt: pink ŕ clear.
